AUGUSTA — Julienne E. Rodrigue, 89, died Tuesday, March 11, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Augusta on Aug. 22, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Godbout) Dostie. Julienne was a gentle mother, a loving and caring woman, and was devoted to her faith and family.
Julienne attended Augusta schools and was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She was a mother and homemaker for most of her life and had worked for several years at Bolley’s Famous Franks and St. Paul Center. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies of St. Anne.
She is survived by two sons, Normand Rodrigue and his wife, Lynne, of Manchester, and Peter Rodrigue and his wife, Suzanne, of Augusta; five daughters, Anne Sawyer of Augusta, Patricia Gilbert and her husband, Laurent Sr., of Lewiston, Constance Pomerleau and her husband, Jean-Luc, of Sidney, Pauline McKenney and her husband, Harry, of Augusta, and Louise Patenaude and her husband, George, of Augusta; 15 grandchildren, Kelly Sawyer, Rebecca Kennedy and her husband, Chris, Karen Gilbert Bowe and her husband, Scott, Karla McMahon and her husband, Frank, Laurent Gilbert Jr., Christie Davis and her husband, Lance, Marc Rodrigue, Cindy Poulin and her husband, Mark, Chantal Savage Levesque and her husband, Mark, Erin Fortin and her husband, Aaron, Michael McKenney, Nicolas Patenaude and his wife, Maria, Peter Patenaude and his wife, Victoria, Michelle Patenaude and Jack Rodrigue; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Julienne was predeceased by her husband, Valmond Rodrigue; two brothers, Raymond and Gerard Dostie; and her sister, Theresa Tims.
