Ditzler Library changes hours
NEW SHARON — The Jim Ditzler Memorial Library has new hours starting the week of March 9 to serve the needs of the community.
The library will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Wiltona meeting is March 11
WILTON — Wiltona will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Jean Rand’s house with Joyce Orff as co-hostess.
The program on spring gardening will be given by Robin Jordan from Robin’s Flower Pot.
Turner Adult Ed. begins classes
TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education is offering these classes starting the week of March 17.
Meditation Made Easy: This is a two-night class where participants will learn the different ways of meditating. Bring a yoga mat, blankets and pillow.
Discovering Your Dosha Ayurveda 101: It’s a sister science to yoga focusing on maintaining health. Learn Dosha type and how to achieve balance. Bring a yoga mat, notebook and pencil.
Substitute Training: Discover the district’s expectations, teacher’s lesson plans and assertive discipline. This course is one step in the substitute teacher application process for MSAD 52. A high school diploma is required, college degree preferred.

‘Souper’ supper at Chesterville Grange
CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Grange will hold a public “souper” supper on Friday, March 14, serving between 5 and 6:30 p.m.
Menu will be homemade soups, chowders, breads and desserts. Adults, $5; children, $2.50.

Ski competition, touring event
CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The sixth annual Ski Marathon & Tour will be held Sunday, March 16.
A point-to-point race and tour through the hills of Western Maine, the event will feature three distances: a 60K, 40K and 20K. Awards and prizes will be presented to the top three male and female participants for each of the three races.
Food and refreshments will be provided at aid stations along the course and a post-race lunch will be served to all participants at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, where each race concludes. Non-competitive (touring) participants also have the option to stop in for lunch at Poplar Hut for some blueberry soup, homemade bread, baked goods and hot drinks.
The deadline to register is March 14 at 5 p.m.
