Marine Corps League meets Feb. 27

LEWISTON — The Marine Corps League, Central Maine Detachment 810, will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at its new meeting place at the Holy Cross Senior Hall, 16 St. Croix St.

Use the side entrance on the left side of the building under the rectory.

This will be installation night.

All FMF corpsman can join and are welcome.

Knights, Scouts plan bean supper

LEWISTON — The Holy Cross Knights of Columbus Council 12,652 will co-sponsor a bean supper with the Boy Scouts Troop 116 from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 1, in the Holy Cross Church Hall, 1080 Lisbon St.

Cost is $7 per person, $4 for ages 5 to 12. Advance tickets will be available for $6 until Friday, Feb. 28. Take-out is available.

Bean supper set for March 1

GRAY — A bean supper will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the American Legion Hall, 15 Lewiston St.

Menu includes chop suey, cole slaw, hot dogs, breads and desserts.

Cost is $8 for adults, $15 per couple, $2.50 for children 5-11, and free for under 5.

Fortier Council to meet March 3

LEWISTON — Members of Royal Arcanum – Dr. Paul J. Fortier Chapter 52 will meet, weather permitting, at 6 p.m. Monday, March 3, at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 195 Central Ave.

Social hour with refreshments following business. The entrance is on the right/front. The group meets on the second floor, elevator available. All members welcome.

Senior Citizens Cribbage League

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Lewiston Memorial Armory on Feb. 20 were: first, Judy Sirois and Don Haley; second, Pauline Quimby; third, Arline Laplante and Bob Cielinski; fourth, Anita Maheux and Roland Bosse; fifth, Cecile Bussiere and Stan Tetenman.
