WATERVILLE — Thomas College is holding two identical tune-up high school tennis clinics on March 1 and 8 in its field house.
Each clinic is indoors and will last for 6½ hours on a Saturday.
Clinics are open to boys and girls in grades 8-12. Each session is $90 and includes an all-you-can-eat lunch offered at the Thomas’s Dining Hall. Each clinic runs from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 5 p.m.
The clinic covers all aspects of competitive tennis including ground strokes, serves, approach shots, lobs, volleys, overheads, half-volleys, drop shots and strategy as well as singles and doubles match play.
The clinic is put on by the Thomas College men’s coach and players, coming off a second-place finish at 2013 NAC conference championships. The head coach, Jeff Fowler, is also a USPTA-certified tennis instructor.
