LEWISTON — Investigators searched for the cause of a fire Saturday night that damaged a mobile home at 40 Oxbow Drive.
A 911 caller reported the fire just after 7 p.m., describing smoke coming from the home inside Country Lane Estates. When firefighters arrived, smoke was pouring from the building, Lewiston Fire Chief Paul LeClair said.
It appeared that no one was home at the time of the fire, he said. Firefighters searched the building, a single-wide mobile home with an attached porch, and discovered no one inside.
Damage was uncertain, he said.
Despite falling snow, there were no complications due to the weather, LeClair said. The fire was knocked down in a few minutes.
