AUGUSTA — The Maine Department of Labor announces that the Bureau of Employment Services has named Peter Diplock as manager of the Augusta CareerCenter. He began his duties Feb. 10.

A nationally certified rehabilitation counselor, Diplock began his tenure with the Department of Labor in 2002 at the Augusta CareerCenter as a vocational rehabilitation counselor in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. He was promoted to training coordinator in 2006 and, three years later, to the division’s casework supervisor position at the Lewiston CareerCenter.

He serves on the Central Western Maine Labor Workforce Investment Board and most recently served on the DVR’s Business Relations Committee and as the DVR field contact for the department’s business collaborations with P&G Tambrands, Oxford Casino and L.L. Bean.
