NEW LONDON, N.H. — Amanda Kimball of Gray successfully completed Colby-Sawyer College’s internship requirement at Colby-Sawyer College Exercise and Sport Sciences Department. A exercise science major, Kimball is a member of the class of 2014.

SELINSGROVE, Pa.— Greta-Anne Castonguay of Turner served an internship with Center Street Dental at the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA over winter break. She is a sophomore majoring in biology at Susquehanna University.
Castonguay assisted in the planning and formation of a preventative care dental program at the YMCA’s child care facility. Through the course of the internship, she gained experience in the dental field.
Castonguay, a 2012 graduate of Leavitt Area High School, is the daughter of David and Gisele Castonguay.

LEWISTON — Jedidiah Quint, the son of Dr. William C. Hiss and Ms. Colleen Quint of Minot, was named to the dean’s list at Bates College during the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year, a distinction earned by students whose cumulative grade point average is 3.71 or higher.

LEWISTON — The following local Bates students received All-Academic honors from the New England Small College Athletic Conference for the fall 2013 season. The NESCAC All-Academic honor is awarded to Bates varsity letter winners who have reached sophomore academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.
Zachary Abbott, the son of Elizabeth A. Flynn of Rangeley, is a member of the men’s golf team at Bates. A 2010 graduate of Rangeley Lakes Regional School in Rangeley, Abbott is majoring in environmental studies at Bates.
Chelsea Thompson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy J. Thompson of Farmington, is a member of the women’s soccer team at Bates. A 2010 graduate of Mount Blue High School in Farmington, Thompson is majoring in economics at Bates.
