There is no real good reason for trying to bring back wolves to the upper states in the U.S.
State officials will do what was done in Michigan — have a wolf hunt.
People have spent a lot of time and money in trying to bring those great animals back. As soon as the wolves take hold, other people find what amounts to excuses to start killing them. That has been going on for years and years.
As soon as wolves get to areas that have cattle, the ranchers ask for help killing the wolves, so what chance do the wolves have?
And there is the trend for people to keep building homes closer and closer to wolf habitats.
There are not enough government officials with backbone to help the animals.
