Auxiliary yard sale benefits Girls State

PARIS — American Legion Auxiliary Unit 72, 12 Church St., will hold yard sales from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Feb. 1 and March 1, and possibly one in late spring. Proceeds benefit the Girls State program.

Table rentals are still available for the March 1 sale for $15. Participants are asked to sign up immediately by calling Sylvia at 743-7231.

1st Saturday Community Supper

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will hold its monthly 1st Saturday Community Supper at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1.

The meal is a Winter BBQ Picnic. Burgers, hot dogs, salads, desserts, coffee and punch will be served. Raffle items will be available. Donations for the meal are requested.

The church is at 50 Main St. For more information, call Cyndy at 388-2667.

OHCHS holding conferences

PARIS — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School will hold parent-teacher conferences from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6.

All teachers and/or teams will be having conferences at this time. To schedule appointments, visit the Oxford Hills Guidance Department website at www.ohchs.sad17.k12.me.us/~guidance/ or call Breta Howe at 743-8914, ext. 9532 or 9500, by 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3.

Parents who do not schedule an appointment before Feb. 3 may still sign up for a time on Feb. 6 by stopping at the classroom and signing up for any open time on the appointment sheet posted outside teachers’ classrooms. Maps of the building and student schedules will be available in the Guidance Office.
