I keep hearing that Maine’s Democrats want to add 70,000 people to MaineCare. These people are able to work and are not disabled.
Someone explain to me why I have to pay $7,000 per year for my family’s insurance premiums, deductible and co-pays. Where is the workingman’s piece of pie?
The cost of insurance has become a real burden for the working family. Augusta assumes working families can afford to pay high premiums and high taxes. How can a family of four heat their home, buy food, gasoline, pay high taxes and then pay $7,000 a year for insurance?
The system takes care of those with nothing and those with everything. Those people who are in between are on their own.
