The Bokwa instructors at Girl Power Fitness in Lewiston last month gave a $1,000 check to area resident Christina Thistlewaite to help with Christmas. The donation was the result of a challenge to Bokwa instructors everywhere from Los Angeles-based Bokwa Fitness creator Paul Mavi Sr. to nominate a client deserving of some help by submitting a two-minute video. Girl Power Fitness’s video nomination of Thistlewaite was chosen. In the photo are, from left, instructor Rita Ouellette, instructor Megan Skilling, Christina Thistlewaite, instructor and Girl Power Fitness owner Adriane Kramer and instructor Susan Langerlier. Girl Power Fitness is located at 74 Westminster St. and will be hosting an open house Jan. 26 from 2 to 5 p.m.
