HOLLIS (AP) — Maine state police say the father of a teenage driver who lost control of his van on slushy roads Saturday was one of the two people killed in the crash.
Police say 49-year-old Peter Reynolds and another passenger — 43-year-old Sherri Demelle, both of Limington — were killed in the Hollis crash Saturday afternoon.
Reynolds’ 17-year-old son — Zach Reynolds — suffered multiple injuries but is expected to survive.
Police say slushy roads contributed to Reynolds losing control of the van and striking a pick-up truck.
Two people in the truck were injured but also are expected to survive.
Maine State Police spokesman Stephen McCausland says police do not expect to file any charges in the accident.
