Obamacare is causing a lot more problems than it was intentionally made for. With the government shutdown — which cost Americans $24 billion — job loss and people who are opposed to it, we can’t afford Obamacare.

Obama is trying to force every single American citizen to have health insurance. Rich, poor, working and unemployed, everyone is going to have to get insurance.

Once the Affordable Care Act goes into effect, insurance could cost 500 percent more than we’re paying now. If someone is now paying $220 for health insurance, they could end up paying $1,200 or more.

If President Obama hadn’t pushed his health care plan so much, we wouldn’t be here now. Of course, the Republicans didn’t have to shut down our government because of it, either. We have both parties to blame for putting our country $24 billion more into debt and having caused our country too many issues.

Many people are losing their jobs because of Obamacare. In America, nearly 3.2 million people are at risk of losing their jobs. In Maine alone, 13,641 people are at risk.

No matter what the government agrees or votes on, not all American citizens support the ACA. Congress should take that into consideration before it votes on what is best for our country.

Our country cannot afford Obamacare. Not only is this “plan” expensive, it’s unconstitutional. We have other things we should be worrying about before we force every America citizen to get health insurance.
