BALDWIN (AP) — The driver of a Poland Spring tractor-trailer water tanker is expected to be OK after his rig rolled in Baldwin, trapping him inside the cab.

Police said the truck was headed south on Route 113 at about 4 p.m. Sunday when the driver lost control on the ice while negotiating a curve. The vehicle went off the right side of the road, traveled 360 feet into the ditch and rolled over.

The driver, 46-year-old David Nelson, was trapped in the cab. It took about 30 minutes to get him out. He was taken to Maine Medical Center with what authorities described as non-life threatening injuries.

Route 113 was closed for several hours during the investigation and for removal of the truck. Police said speed and alcohol were not factors.
