A peregrine falcon sits atop one of the steeples of the former St. Patrick’s Church on Bates Street in Lewiston Sunday afternoon. The peregrine is the world’s most widespread raptor. While many fly south for the winter, others choose to stay in an area that offers good hunting throughout the winter.
