Coach: Tyler Tracy (fourth year)
Last year’s record: 4-14
Returning letter-winners: Seniors — C.J. Martin (5-10 guard), Josh Gary (6-4 forward), Tyler Michaud (5-10 guard), Shawn Murphy (6-3 forward), Billy Bickford (6-1 forward), Coady Lagasse (6-0 guard); Juniors — Alan Young (6-3 forward), Derek Michaud (5-7 guard), Adam Moody (6-2 forward), Zach Lowe (6-3 forward), Adam Mocciola (5-10 guard).
Key loses: Nick Allen (guard).
Promising newcomers: Senior —Danny Kuklinski (5-9 guard); Sophomores — Patrick Kuklinski (5-9 guard), John Fossett (6-3 forward).
Outlook: The Knights return 11 players from last year, including seven who logged significant varsity time. Martin was a second-team WMC all-star while averaging 14 ppg. Young (10 ppg) and Tyler Michaud (8 ppg) will provide more scoring punch. They have good length and depth, so Tracy expects them to hold their own on the boards and gain extra opportunities. The WMC is always an extremely competitive league, but Poland should have one of the most improved teams and challenge for a tournament spot.
