On Dec. 2, Mechanics Savings Bank employees and 2013 Junior Achievement volunteers Linette Dehetre, left, Chris Brann, Jeff Gosselin, second from right, and Christopher Hanks, far right, presented a check for $500 to Jill Jamison, center, area board operations director at Junior Achievement of Maine. The donation will support local programs offered by Junior Achievement of Maine, which is dedicated to educating K-12 students about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Mechanics Savings Bank is a longtime supporter of Junior Achievement, with a number of its employees each year volunteering with Junior Achievement to teach financial literacy and business programs to middle school and high school students.
