Wednesday evening prayer services

WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church offers Wednesday evening prayer services during Advent at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4, 11 and 18. All are welcome.

Chester Greenwood Day sale, lunch

FARMINGTON — The Chester Greenwood Day sale and luncheon will be held from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, 110 Academy St.

There will be a cookie walk, candy and white elephant sale.

Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. and includes beef stew, fish chowder or French onion soup, with homemade bread, pickles, gingerbread and whipped cream.

Cost is $6.
