Free Thanksgiving dinner
READFIELD — A free Thanksgiving dinner and fellowship event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, at United Methodist Church of Readfield, Route 17. Come for a meal or for dessert.
There will be cribbage games, UNO and other fun games for the entire family.
Senior Citizens Cribbage League
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Lewiston Memorial Armory on Nov. 21 were: first, Gil Cote and Ed Hinkley; second, Anita Maheux and Dick Dennis; third, Hope Hughes and Jim Burgess; fourth, Monique Nadeau and Bert Chenard; fifth, Cecile Bussiere and Jeannine Labbe.

Danville Grange potluck, meeting
AUBURN — Members of Danville Junction Grange will meet at the hall on Friday, Nov. 29, for a potluck supper at 6 p.m. The business meeting starts at 7 p.m., followed by bingo as the entertainment.
Members are reminded to bring toiletries for the basket for veterans as well as a couple of prizes for the bingo games. All members and guests are invited.
Lewiston Bridge Club winners

Fortier Council meets Dec. 2
LEWISTON — Members of Royal Arcanum Dr. Paul J. Fortier Council No. 52 (formerly A.C.A.) will gather for their next meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 195 Central Ave.

SABATTUS — Girl Scouts of Maine will host a parent information and registration meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Sabattus Primary School, 36 No Name Pond Road.
Girls and adults are invited to attend the meeting to find out the ways today’s girls are participating in Girl Scouting and how the programs and activities inspire them to reach their best. Participants will also learn about the flexible options and benefits of becoming a Girl Scout volunteer.

5RAA Arts exhibit and sale
BOWDOIN/BRUNSWICK — The 5RAA Arts Downtown & All Around Exhibit/Sale on Dec. 6, 7 and 8 celebrates the creative talent that lives and creates within our towns and communities.

MS support group breakfast
LEWISTON — The MS Friday Morning Support Group will meet Friday, Dec. 13, at the Ramada Inn, 490 Pleasant St., for breakfast and re-gift exchange.
Everyone will be responsible for payment of their own breakfast no later than 10 a.m. From 9 to 10 a.m. will be breakfast.
From 10 to 11 will be a brief meeting with a Chinese auction for all who brought gifts with a value of at least $5. This is re-gifting, so this is something you have that you have not or will not use.

Christmas Fair in North Pownal
POWNAL — A Christmas Fair will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at North Pownal United Methodist Church, 852 Lawrence Road.
There will be crafts, bake sale, white elephant, Christmas decorations, cutlery and more.
Fish chowder and hot dogs will also be available on Friday, while egg, tuna and ham salad sandwiches and beef stew will be served Saturday. Peanut butter and jelly will be available for children both days.
Proceeds benefit the church.

Free Reiki workshop Dec. 9
LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing will offer a free Reiki workshop for anyone interested in learning more about this comforting therapy. Th Reiki informational session will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at the Dempsey Center, 29 Lowell St.
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on technique intended to relieve stress and discomfort. Clients are encouraged to relax, fully clothed, as a practitioner’s hands are lightly placed on or near the head, shoulders, arms and legs.
Reiki is one of the integrative medicine services provided by the Dempsey Center which complement the medical treatments prescribed by a physician. Dempsey Center Reiki Coordinator Meredith Kendall, RN, MSN, will teach how this comforting therapy can help you.
