DIXFIELD — A Thanksgiving dinner will be held from 4 p.m. until sold out Saturday, Nov. 23, at American Legion Post 100.

Cost is $5.

Daughters plan Christmas party

RUMFORD — The Daughters of Isabella Christmas Party will be held at Brian’s Bistro on Friday, Dec. 8, after the 9:30 mass.

Hors d’oeuvres included. The price is $23 per person.

Committee includes co-chairs Marie Boudreau and Rita Thorne, as well as Kelley Beauchesne, Doris Bourret, Dot Cayer, Debbie Laurinaitis, Sharon Richards and Noella Taylor.

Checks may be mailed to Marie Boudreau in the Daughters’ name to 23 Erchles St., Rumford, ME 04276 no later than Nov. 28.

Canton Fire plans wreaths raffle

CANTON — Canton Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary has announced the dates for its 2013 Festival of Wreaths Raffle.

Donate a decorated wreath, on any theme, by Nov 29.

Wreaths will be displayed to the public at the Canton Fire Department during the following schedule: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1; 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2-6; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec 7; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 8.

Raffle tickets are six for $5 or one for $1. Raffle winners will be contacted.

Longaberger basket raffle

RUMFORD — Holy Savior Catholic School will hold a Longaberger basket raffle every day in the month of December.

Each basket is beautifully filled.

Winners’ names will be put back into the drawing for more chances to win. Tickets are $6 each or two for $10. They can be purchased at the school at 115 Main Ave., Davis Florist and Hair Design.
