LEWISTON — Kevin Lewis, CEO of Maine Community Health Options, recently announced that LuAnne Cori has joined the organization as a provider relations representative.
MCHO is a nonprofit organization that will provide affordable health insurance to Maine people and small businesses. MCHO plans became available for enrollment on Oct. 1 for coverage beginning as early as Jan. 1, 2014.
With more than 14 years of experience in all phases of health care operations, Cori is thoroughly versed in aspects of project management, project practice integration, clinical research, quality improvement, and shared decision-making programs. In addition to holding a degree in public health care administration, she is trained and certified in the protection of patient data collection and analysis and is certified in advanced mediation and conflict management.
Her previous position was with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, N.H. She worked within the Department of Orthopedics where she conducted national and international projects for the total joint section team. In her new role, she will be educating and supporting the MCHO provider network and monitoring compliance and issue resolution within the managed care regulatory environment.
