PARIS — A Bethel man accused of assaulting and terrorizing a woman in July pleaded not guilty to four charges at his arraignment in Oxford County Superior Court on Tuesday. 

Last month, an Oxford County Grand Jury indicted Brian Cronkite, 28, for aggravated assault, domestic violence terrorizing, domestic violence assault and criminal restraint. 

The charges stem from Cronkite’s alleged attack on a woman at his home at 137 East Bethel Road in July. He is accused of beating, tying up and humiliating the woman. He was arrested in early August, after an investigation by the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office. 

His bail, set at $10,000 after his arrest in August, was reduced to $2,000 by the court on Tuesday.
