I am more than just a little upset with the Democrats in Augusta who are vowing to allow a bill to come before the Legislature that has already been introduced during this legislative session. The bill would consider expanding Medicaid.
Such action is in violation of Rule 217 — that a bill cannot be introduced twice in the same legislative session.
Democratic legislators are objecting to that rule and are doing so with false statements that they are making in support of that outrageous action. They are aligning themselves with President Obama, who also has spread false information about the Affordable Care Act and what consumers are able to retain regarding insurance as American citizens.
When will voters wake up to the so-obvious abuse of power? Smooth talking that includes false information should not be recognized as good, sound policy.
I cannot support legislators who cannot deal in truth. Truth in politics is what we all need.
