Bangor 4, Mt. Blue 0

BANGOR — Erynn Sauda scored twice to lead Bangor to a 4-0 win over Mt. Blue in an Eastern Class A girls’ soccer quarterfinal Tuesday.

The top-ranked Rams got a goal from freshman Megan Conners 16 minutes into the game. Sauda made it 2-0 just three minutes later. Bangor got another tally from Mary Butler for a 3-0 advantage at the half.

Sauda netted her second of the night in the second half. Butler, Katarina Dagher, Ali Boulier and Connors had assists for the Rams (14-1).

Emily Gilmore and Maddie Hodgdon combined for four saves on 13 shots for Bangor. Mt. Blue (6-7-3) ot 13 saves from Thia Bridges on 22 shots.

Searsport 8, Rangeley 1

SEARSPORT — Karigen Coffin led Searsport with three goals and an assist in an 8-1 win over Rangeley in a Western Class D girls’ soccer quarterfinal Tuesday.

The fourth-ranked Vikings also got two goals from Brianna Boyle while Briana Grant chipped in a goal and two assists. Ann Bucklin had a goal and an assist, and Ivy Blake added a goal for Searsport (8-3-4).

Tori Letarte scored the goal for Rangeley (5-7-3).

Alicen Brooks made six saves on seven shots for the Vikings. Taylor Esty and

Haley Morrill combined to make 15 saves on 29 shots for Rangeley.

Cape Elizabeth 4, Poland 0

CAPE ELIZABETH — Kate Breed scored on a penalty kick and also had an assist Tuesday, boosting Cape Elizabeth to a 4-0 victory over Poland in a Western Class B girls’ soccer quarterfinal.

Sarah O’Connor, Elise Flathers and Katherine Clark also had goals for the top-seeded Capers (12-2-1). Haley Whitworth made 24 svaes for the Knights (7-9).

Greely 6, Leavitt 0

CUMBERLAND — Greely struck early against Leavitt when Jocelyn Mitiguy converted a Liz Clifford cross four minutes into the game, sending the Rangers on their way to a 6-0 Western Class B girls’ soccer quarterfinal win Tuesday night.

The game went back and forth until Greely’s Kristina Volta scored with 24:51 left in the first half. Greely also would get another goal from Mitiguy along with Clifford, Allie Morrill and Anja Russell. Angela Daigle made 13 saves for Leavitt.
