FARMINGTON — The Board of Selectmen tabled an appointment to the RSU 9 school board until their meeting Nov. 12.

The board will name someone to serve until the town election in March. The seat was held by Eric Gilbert, who resigned because he moved from Farmington.

Board of Selectmen Chairman Ryan Morgan nominated Stephan Bunker, who was in the audience, to fill the seat for the next few months while the board works on the school budget.

“The town needs that vote,” Morgan said of town representation.

Although Davis fully supported Bunker’s nomination and Bunker was willing to serve, Davis suggested the board wait until the discussion was on a meeting agenda in case other people were interested in serving.

The board agreed to table action. Bunker also endorsed allowing others the opportunity.

Anyone interested in the position may contact the Town Office.
