AUBURN — A Sunday afternoon crash injured two at the intersection of Beech Hill Road and Route 202.

According to Lt. Laurie Woodhead of the Auburn Police Department, around 4:38 p.m., Rene Bosse, 83, of Lewiston and his wife, Angeline, were traveling northbound on Beech Hill Road in their 2007 Buick when they attempted to cross Route 202.

Woodhead said that was when they collided with a 2011 Nissan, driven by Elaine Bickford, 60, of Auburn.

The Auburn Fire Department and United Ambulance responded and according to Woodhead, Rene Bosse had to be cut from the vehicle.

Bosse and his wife both were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Both vehicles were totaled in the collision.
