I am a lifetime Lewiston resident with some concern regarding Darcy Reed, who is only 20 years of age. In the Sept. 12 Sun Journal, Darcy Reed appeared in the 8th District Court log having pleaded “offense committed” to a civil charge of minor consuming liquor. She was fined $500.

Do voters really want that leadership for Ward 4?

Then, there is Doreen Christ, who is seeking re-election and has proven to be honest, dependable and responsive, not only for her ward, but in several local businesses. She also has more than 14 years of municipal experience between Lewiston and Monmouth. Her vast experience is much more important than activism.

Residents of Ward 4 are very fortunate to have Doreen Christ as their representative and I deeply support her in her re-election bid for a second term.

Jeff Foss, Lewiston
