WALDOBORO — Police have charged two men and a teenager in Waldoboro after a three-month investigation into an Oxycodone trafficking ring.

Police said they arrested 39-year-old James Chamberlain of Waldoboro and 24-year-old Louis Atkinson of Greene on Saturday. The two are accused of selling Oxycodone to a 17-year-old boy as they were parked along Route 1 in Waldoboro in Chamberlain’s car.

Police said they seized a loaded 9 mm handgun, 342 oxycodone pills and $1,500.

They say the 30 mg prescription painkillers sell for almost $50 each on the street, making the value of the seized drugs more than $15,000.

Atkinson and Chamberlain are charged with aggravated drug trafficking. The teen was ordered to appear in court on a charge of drug trafficking. It wasn’t immediately known if they had lawyers.
