1922 – 2013

WEYMOUTH, Mass. — Eleanor “Ellie” Marie Coupe of Hanover, Mass., formerly of Lewiston, died Friday, Oct. 18, at Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Weymouth, Mass., after a brief illness.

She was born in Lawrence, Mass., on Aug. 2, 1922, the daughter of the late William and Margaret Marion (Hagan) Callahan.

Ellie enjoyed reading, sewing and antiques, and she especially loved family gatherings.

She is survived by three children, Richard and his wife, Donna, of Florida, Janet and her partner, Pat, of Hanover, and Douglas and his wife, Melinda, of Colorado; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; her brother William J. Callahan of Bloomfield, Conn.; and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Clarence W. Coupe.
