SOUTH PARIS — Small business owners in the Bethel, Rumford and South Paris regions are invited to learn from Nancy Marshall, marketing and communications expert, on how to use the Internet to grow their businesses. Three simultaneous events will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the following locations: Telstar Regional High School, 284 Walkers Mills Road, Bethel; Region 9 School of Applied Technology, 377 River Road, Mexico; and Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, 256 Main St., South Paris.

Marshall will discuss how to use the Internet to strengthen relationships with existing and potential customers. Also, she will discuss new marketing strategies that use the Internet, such as using social media to gather valuable feedback and information from current and prospective customers on new products and services. She will also talk about how to use content management systems for websites, as well as shopping carts to enable e-commerce.
The event is being sponsored by the ConnectME Authority and the Maine Department of Education. It is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
