ORONO — Two Bangor men are facing felony drug charges after police found heroin and drug paraphernalia in their possession last weekend.
Arrested on charges of unlawful possession of heroin were Kevin Wood and Micah Bouchard, both 34, according to an arrest report submitted by Veazie police Officer Todd Nadeau.
The Class C felony charges carry a penalty of up to five years in prison. Bouchard also was charged with violation of bail conditions from a prior, unrelated arrest.
According to arrest reports, Nadeau encountered Wood and Bouchard in a silver Mitsubishi pulled over near the bog on Stillwater Avenue in Orono shortly before midnight on Oct. 6. Nadeau was in the area to help search for a vehicle that had been reported stolen. Orono officers were occupied with a complaint at The Grove, a student housing complex.
When Nadeau stopped to check on the two men in the car, they said they had run out of gas. A search of the car allowed by Bouchard’s bail conditions turned up heroin, needles, a vial, lighter, rubber arm strap and glassine packages like those used for packaging drugs.
Orono police Officer David Silk assisted with the investigation.
