LEWISTON — “The Visualized Heart” is the topic of the first in a series of six “Mini-Medical School” educational programs set to begin on Oct. 8.

Cardiologist David Abisalih, M.D., will discuss how the cardiovascular system works. His presentation will include a simulator demonstration of how the beating heart functions.

The presentation is set for 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing and Health Professions, 70 Middle St.
