AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer Accounting for Small Businesses from 9 a.m. to noon on Mondays, Oct. 21 and 28 and Nov. 4.
The cost of the class is $149 and includes materials.
The course is designed to give the small business owner a real life understanding of the financial side of business, including basic accounting, financial statements, taxes, budgets, forecasts and cash flow. The course is a prerequisite for the QuickBooks course that begins in mid-November.
The instructor for the course is Rose Creps. She has previously worked as a financial consultant and an accounting manager. Creps has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in global business administration.
This non-credit course is open to anyone in business or who is considering starting a business. Registration is open and ongoing, however space is limited.
