The weather may have been less than ideal, but that did not dampen the spirits of anyone involved in this year’s Franklin County Chamber of Commerce & Seth Wescott Scholarship Golf Classic at Sugarloaf Golf Club earlier this month. All 23 teams that registered for the tournament showed up and played in an effort to raise funds for the Franklin County Chamber’s Scholarship Program and Seth Wescott’s Level Field Fund.

After breakfast, 18 holes of golf and a putting challenge, the group descended to The Rack for a mouth-watering barbecue, drinks, and awards ceremony.

The winning team this year was CSM Real Estate’s team comprised of Derek Blake, of Carrabassett Valley, PJ Eagan of Peabody MA, Jay Lasher of Carrabassett Valley and Bob Peruffo of Carrabassett Valley.

On behalf of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and Seth Wescott, we extend a huge thanks to our event partners, volunteers, participants, and generous prize contributors who support local youth and their quest for higher education and excellence. Proceeds from this event go to support the Chamber Scholarship Program and Seth Wescott’s Level Field Fund for area students and athletes.
