CORINNA — A Corinna man was charged with two misdemeanors after he allegedly shot a BB gun from a car on Saturday afternoon.

Cody Berry, 22, of Corinna was a passenger in a car that slowed in front of an Exeter Road residence when he allegedly fired a BB gun several times from the car, according to Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. William Sheehan. Police received the call at 2:01 p.m.

“He’s been feuding with some of the residents that live there,” said Sheehan, who wouldn’t elaborate on the feud citing that it’s an ongoing investigation. “The vehicle slowed down and he shot a BB gun striking a vehicle and striking the residence and breaking a window.”

The car, which contained two other people, then drove off. Berry was located at a Corinna residence about 15 to 20 minutes later, said Sheehan.

Berry was charged with Class D criminal mischief and Class E disorderly conduct. The Class D charge carries a jail sentence of up to a year and a maximum fine of $2,000. The Class E charge has a maximum jail sentence of six months and a top fine of $1,000. Other charges could be pending.

Sheehan said police are quite familiar with Berry.

The two other people in the vehicle were not charged, but that could change, said Sheehan.

“We’re still looking into that. There could be more charges pending,” he said.

Dexter police and Maine State Police assisted.
