Unfortunately, we are now living in a world of extreme difficulties, violence and danger.

Here, in America, we have the worst economic situation since the Depression. Abroad we have the ongoing war in Afghanistan and no apparent cure in sight, and the escalating problems in Syria using chemical weapons under the leadership of another barbarous dictator. The killing of men, women and children by using chemical weapons was lacking refinement and mercilessly cruel.

Let us not forget North Korean, Iran, Pakistan and other Middle East countries that have an arsenal of nuclear weapons and perhaps chemicals as well.

However, we are under the watchful eyes of someone much stronger than nuclear and chemical weapons. We must all remember that God is not violent. It’s the people who have become violent, and it’s the people who have built weapons of mass destruction.

What’s happening in Syria is another warning that the worst is yet to come. The end of the world will not come as a result of nuclear and chemical weapons, but from an act of force that will strike us without warning.

Here, in America, we must never forget the horrific disaster on 9/11. Instead, we must always be prepared for the inevitable hell on Earth.

Let’s all pray for a humanitarian decision by our government to avoid our military forces from attacking Syria, because peace should become a priority and not war in the Middle East.
