Breastfeeding support group

AUBURN — Expectant women and breastfeeding mothers are invited to a La Leche League meeting to be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at 102 Bennett Ave. Babies are always welcome.

Discussion will focus on “The Advantages of Breastfeeding for Mother and Baby.” All concerns about breastfeeding are welcome for discussion. For more information or breastfeeding help, call the La Leche leader at 782-6645.

AUBURN — Members of Danville Junction Grange will meet at the hall on Thursday, September 12, at 7 p.m. for a business meeting. The program will be a planning session for the ensuing year. Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are welcome.

Civil War Round Table Lecture

BRUNSWICk — Joshua L. Chamberlain Civil War Round Table Lecture will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Curtis Memorial Library Morrell Room, 23 Pleasant St.

Speaker will be Pat Falci, on “Gettysburg The Movie 20th Anniversary.”

Senior Citizens Cribbage League

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Lewiston Memorial Armory on Sept. 5 were: first, Arline Laplante and Mike Martin; second, Sandy Oliver and Hope Hughes; third, Jim Burgess and Dick Laplante; fourth, Simonne Paul and Norm Bissonnette; fifth, Pauline Blais and Anita Maheux.
