DIXFIELD — The RSU 10 board and secretaries, Central Office employees, business office employees and other clerical staff, have agreed on a three-year contact.
Superintendent Craig King said the approximately 25 employees, who also include those responsible for technology in the district, will receive up to a 2.1 percent salary increase for Jan. 1 to June 30, 2013, and for fiscal years 2013-14 and 2014-15.
Some employees will receive a 1.5 percent pay raise during the final year of the contract, depending on where they are on the salary schedule, negotiator Rick Greene, director of the Pennacook Learning Center, wrote in an email.
King said benefits will remain the same as before.
The workers became part of the RSU 10 employees union, Western Maine Education Association, in January.
“We are trying to get everyone on the same pay scale. It was a real challenge so we spread it over four years,” Greene wrote.
All other bargaining units in the 12-town Regional School Unit are now on the same pay scale. They include teachers, educational technicians, custodians and bus drivers, and food service workers.
RSU 10 includes the towns of Canton, Carthage, Dixfield, Peru, Buckfield, Hartford, Sumner, Byron, Mexico, Roxbury, Rumford and Hanover.
