Season outlook: The Blue Devils are still young but much of the talented junior class gained valuable experience last year. Emerson and Curry split time at QB last year and will both take snaps this fall. Brown is an explosive tailback and elite kick/punt returner. The Devils took nine back for touchdowns last year, with Brown responsible for seven of them. James is just as dangerous in the open field, and Howell and Porter present yet more options with speed. Freve is the standout on a less experienced offensive line. County hopes the ample athleticism combines with a little bit of attitude to make the defense more physical. Perreault and Colby will help set that tone. The Devils have the athleticism to compete with anyone. If they can be stout up front, they could be a surprise team in the revamped Class A.
