Key losses: Sean Ford (QB), Quin Leary (TE), Alex Sterling (T/DT), Mitch Lachapelle (T/DT)
Promising newcomers: Senior — Henry Nguyen (RB/DB); Juniors — Miguel Delgado (OL/DL), Hunter Martin (TB).
Season outlook: The Red Eddies confront a revamped schedule with less mystery than most of their fellow Eastern A holdovers having played several of the southern Maine teams in 7-on-7 games in the Portland area. Sterling says they held their own, and it will be important play with confidence and execute. They have a QB battle between Mileikis and Knowlton to sort out first. Whoever takes the snaps out of the pistol will be protected by a deep offensive line with good size. Boyd, last year’s leading rusher, returns as the primary ballcarrier. Martin adds 4.5-40 speed to the backfield. The defense will be built around Williams and St. Pierre, who were all-conference performers as juniors.
