MANCHESTER — LifeWay Christian Resources will bring well-known Bible teacher and best-selling author Beth Moore to Hope Baptist Church via simulcast on Sept. 14. Hope Baptist Church is serving as a host location for the Central Maine area for the second time.
The event,now in its 15th year, both challenges and encourages women to grow deeply in their faith. Join 250,000 women around the world for the live, global, Internet streaming event on the big screen.
Moore has authored dozens of published Bible studies, books and devotionals specifically for women for nearly two decades. Her latest LifeWay-published release, “James: Mercy Triumphs,” is a Bible study that equips women to put their faith in action. Moore’s organization, Living Proof Ministries, is based out of Houston.
Living Proof Live starts Saturday, Sept. 14, at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 4:15 p.m. Doors open at 8:30.
Tickets are $10, $15 after Sept. 1, and cover one full day of music by Travis Cottrell and worship sessions lead by Beth Moore plus opportunities for fellowship with other women from the community. Hunter, fisherman, evangelist to visit
RUMFORD — Morris Anderson, Christian evangelist and big game hunter and fisherman, will be again coming to the Rumford Baptist Church to share the good news about Jesus Christ on the weekend of Sept. 20-22.
The Rumford Baptist Church welcomes any and all to enjoy listening to Morris at a sportsman’s banquet at 112 Washington St. at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, and to morning and evening services at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22.
If anyone has any questions or wishes to help in some way, such as helping with the banquet or donating wild game for the banquet, contact Pastor Dan Pearson at 507-1066. Reservations for the sportman’s banquet would be helpful, though not necessary.
Navigating the Age of Aquarius
HARTFORD — Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Center will sponsor a workshop, “Navigating the Age of Aquarius Through Astrology, Crystals and Healing,” with Karen Vasil-Busch and Karen Anderson, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22. The center is 1190 Main St., Hartford Town Hall.

Vasil-Busch is a licensed massage therapist and Karuna master Reiki teacher. She practices massage therapy, Aryurvedic healing and teaches yoga in the Oxford Hills area.
Anderson is a licensed psychotherapist practicing in Colorado, president of the western states chapter of the world’s largest astrological organization, the National Council for Geocosmic Research, and is an angelic crystal attuner. Together, they directed the Maine Healing Arts Festival for 27 years.
Memorial hymn service planned
RUMFORD — A memorial hymn service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, 455 Linnell St.
Loved ones will be honored with hymns, scripture and a poem.
Fellowship and light refreshments will follow the service.
The service is open to the public.
