The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that it is teaming up again this year with Seth Wescott to host the 11th annual Scholarship Golf Classic to be held Tuesday, September 20, 2013 at the renowned Sugarloaf Golf Club. The tournament will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, so arrive early to register and enjoy a breakfast treat.
Proceeds from this signature event support scholarships from both the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and
’s Level Field Fund for area students.
2013 promises to be our best golf outing to date. The Sugarloaf Golf Course is one of the most spectacular courses in New England, and was recently named “Best Course in Maine” for the 26th time in its history by “Golf Digest.” The course offers stunning views and a challenging experience, ensuring that the best team comes out on top at the end of play.
Registration includes green fees, cart, and a fantastic gathering at The Rack with delicious food, awards and fun. Various contests will be ongoing throughout the day, including a $25,000 hole-in-one courtesy of Shiretown Insurance, cash prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive, and straightest drive, as well as a 50/50 and prize-bundle raffles.
The Chamber plays a tremendous role in the economic growth of our communities. Your support is important to the organization, to our members and to our communities. This event provides an excellent opportunity for local businesses to network and build relationships. It also provides an opportunity to help area students with tuition and other costs associated with their higher education.
