PORTLAND — Bishop Richard J. Malone, apostolic administrator for the Diocese of Portland, has announced additional priest assignments, with effective date noted.

Effective immediately, Fr. Francis Morin, who is currently the administrator of St. Michael Parish in Augusta, has been appointed administrator of Sacred Heart Parish in Hallowell. Fr. Morin will remain as administrator of St. Michael Parish, which serves Augusta, Gardiner, Whitefield, Winthrop and the surrounding region. Fr. Morin succeeds Fr. George Hickey, who died on Aug. 9.

Effective Sept. 1, Fr. Dominic Savio, HGN, who is currently in residence at Good Shepherd Parish in Saco, has been appointed parochial vicar at Corpus Christi Parish in Waterville. Fr. Savio is a member of the Heralds of Good News, a missionary society of apostolic life from India.
