Bridgton Hospital has named registered nurse Tammy Laidlaw, second from right, as its Daisy Award nurse. The DAISY Award, an international program, is given to nurses who consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care, and as outstanding role models in the nursing community. Laidlaw is a supervisor on the inpatient unit. She was presented a bouquet of daisies, a DAISY certificate, a DAISY Award pin, and a hand-carved stone sculpture titled A Healer’s Touch. She also has a dedicated parking spot on campus. From left are Karen Harding, Donna Goodridge, Nancy Murphy, Jill Rollins, Bridgton Hospital President David Frum, Laidlaw and John Ludwig.
