OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge club met Aug. 16. A 9 & 1/2 table Mitchell movement was enjoyed.
Finishing first in flight A N/S were Mike True, Auburn, and Mike St. John, Westbrook; second, Eilene Potvin, Cundy’s Harbor, and Della Starbird, Oxford, who also were first in flight B; third, Bailey Geeslin, Bridgton, and Mike Quinn, Otisfield; fourth, Rosemarie Goodwin, Lewiston, and Luke Merry, New Gloucester. Finishing second in flight B were Nancy Farmer, Norway, and Mike Newsom, Norway; third, Marilyn and Richard Canton, Bridgton.
Finishing first in flight A E/W were Paul Kahl, Westbrook, and Nick Karamessinis, New Gloucester; second, Neenie Kivus, Lewiston, and Pat Quinn, Otisfield; third, Carol Curran, Bridgton, and Milt McKeen Jr., Bridgton, who also were first in flights B and C; fourth, Pamela and Errol Libbey, Norway, who also were second in flight B. Finishing third in flight B were Karen MacNeil, Casco, and Marjorie Levesque, Casco, who also were third in flight C; fourth, Hazel Glazier, Norway, and Marta Clements, Woodstock; third in flight C, Cathy Sanderson, Waterford, and Jim Dickens, Naples.

Lewiston Bridge Club winners
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners of the Grand National Pairs game at the Lewiston Armory on Aug. 19 were as follows: first, Jan and Vern Arey; second, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; third/fourth tie, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer with Rosemarie Goodwin and Bill Clifford; fourth/fifth tie in B, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe with Les Buzzell and Bailey Geeslin; 1st in C, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe.
Winners on Aug. 20 were: first/second tie, Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier with Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; third, Nancy Lindgren and Les Buzzell; fourth, Jeanine Kivus and Patricia Quinn.

Annual supper, officers election
OXFORD — The Oxford Historical Society will hold the annual supper and election of officers at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at the museum. Everyone is welcome; bring a dish to share. A winning ticket will be drawn for the handmade quit.
Bean supper set for Aug. 30
PARIS — The Ladies Circle of First Congregational Church will host a baked bean supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at 17 East Main St.
The meal includes hot dogs, casseroles, salads, bread and pies.
Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12.
Yard sale at VFW post
HARRISON — Ronald St. John VFW Post, 176 Waterford Road, will have a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31.
Tables are being rented for $10 each or the post is accepting donations to sell to benefit their building fund. For more information call Cecil at 557-2621.
