I am not a foreign policy expert or even a political expert, but I have an issue that concerns foreign policy.

Why, when this country faces a “fiscal cliff” time after time, is the solution to cut back on spending on social programs here at home?

Why is this county not obligated, first and foremost, to fulfill promises to its own citizens? Are cuts in foreign aid ever on the table?

Couldn’t a few billion dollars less go to foreign countries while aiding  people here in this country? Maybe that is standard procedure and I am not aware of it.
