Abby Swan, 4, hangs out in her homemade box car while her grandmother Sara Morony, both of Auburn, paints her name on the license plate before a showing of “D2: Mighty Ducks” at the Hasty Community Center in Auburn during the Pat’s Pizza Box Car Drive-In and Movie Night on Friday. The event was free to the public and the two participants in the box car contest received a free movie pass to Flagship Cinemas and a certificate to Gifford’s Ice Cream. The families also enjoyed popcorn from Flagship and donated drinks from Coca-Cola.
Whitney Perkins, 8, lets her wild hair down with her parents, Kevin and Mary Perkins, of Lewiston, at the Pat’s Pizza Box Car Drive-In on Friday at the Hasty Community Center in Auburn’s Pettengill Park. Last year, Perkins created a pink Hannah Montana car. She decided to go with a hot rod roadster this year.
