Reunion for Keen descendants
SUMNER — Meet and greet the descendants of John and Martha Keen. All Keenes are invited to the 88th annual reunion at A Wrinkle in Thyme Farm from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11.
Potluck lunch is at noon. The group will move to the pond at 3 p.m.
Bring your whole family, a dish to share, swimsuits, towels and lawn chairs for the pond. There will be hand-crank ice cream, outside activities for kids, a barn swing, and sheep, horse and chickens

Madrid Historical Society open house
MADRID — Madrid Historical Society will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Madrid Village School House, Reeds Mill Road.
The museum will be open with displays and pictures of Madrid’s past. Light refreshments will be served in the community room.

Public Masonic supper Aug. 17
WILTON — A public Masonic supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Harland M. Harnden Masonic Hall, 70 Bryant Road.
The menu will be roast pork, mashed potatoes, veggies, rolls and assorted homemade pies. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for those under the age of 12.

Mt. Blue Area Garden Club
FARMINGTON — On Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 5:30 p.m. Mt. Blue Area Garden Club members will go to Bonnie Parlin’s home at 177 Ramsdell Road in Farmington, whereupon they will get to view the treasured field stones, and marvel at the rock walls and stone paths that are accented with the beauty of flowers.
Hostesses Regina Longyear, Mary Green, Pat Morse and Marion Hutchinson will serve desserts and beverages. Those attending are asked to bring a bagged lunch, a chair and a plant to swap.
