Patti Gagne presented the Kiwanis Club of Lewiston-Auburn inaugural Local Hero Award to Andrew Bilodeau, third from left, during a celebration in Bilodeau’s honor at the Village Inn in Auburn on Wednesday. Bilodeau, 14, of Lewiston pulled an unconscious young boy from the Androscoggin River and brought the boy to Bilodeau’s father, far right, who helped with lifesaving techniques. Bilodeau was also awarded a certificate of distinguished service by the Kiwanis Club of Lewiston-Auburn President Sarah Little. Pictured from back left are Little, Allyson Bilodeau, Andrew Bilodeau, Gagne, Micheal Bilodeau, Katherine Bilodeau and Rene Bilodeau Jr.
