OXFORD — The American Legion recently hosted the Kora Shrine Temple Band as part of the Tuesday evening Concert in the Park series at Oxford War Memorial Park.
The Shriners Band is an annual attraction to the Oxford Hills area, drawing hundreds to the outdoor event.
“The American Legion always donates to the Shriner’s Hospital every year as it is one of the main charities we give to,” said American Legion Commander Robert “Bob” Lavertu.
This year, the combined total of donations totaled over $900.
The next Concert in the Park series will feature The Maine Highland Fiddlers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, rain or shine. FMI: call Bob Lavertu are 539-2649.
